Harlem and Gospel Tour with transportation (Sundays)
We invite you to attend a gospel Mass service on a lovely Sunday in New York City. First, we’ll discover historic Harlem from every angle on this one-of-a-kind tour. Your guide will share fascinating anecdotes about this culturally rich Manhattan neighborhood that was home to such great African American figures as Marcus Garvey, Zora Neale Hurston, Duke Ellington, Josephine Baker, W. E. B. Du Bois, Louis Armstrong, Langston Hughes and Malcolm X. Take this fun bus tour of Harlem to gain a deep understanding the neighborhood and its magnificent architecture and rich history. We’ll pass by iconic landmarks such as the Apollo Theater, the Cotton Club, City College, Speaker’s Corner, Hotel Theresa, Schomburg Center and the African Market in Little Senegal.
We’ll marvel at the beautiful homes and architecture in the historic district and pass by additional places where great activists fought for their community’s rights. We’ll then enter one of the multitudes of churches with lively congregations that are vital to the community. You’ll be welcomed by a choir and submerged into the energy and fervor that emanates from their powerful songs. When all the voices of a gospel choirs come together, something beautiful and transcendent happens.
Please note: Proper attire is required to attend the service. No shorts or tank tops. This is in order to respect the church’s beliefs.

Children 6 to 11 years old: $45.
Free for children under 5 years old.
Out of respect, please dress appropriately and refrain from wearing flip-flops, tank tops, or shorts.

Lunch optional : $75 pp per adult
Children’s menu supplement for 5 to 11 years old: $45 per person.

Accessibility: This tour is available for disabled guest in wheelchairs. If you use a wheelchair that folds, we are able to accommodate you in the front row of our coaches. Your wheelchair will be stored in the luggage compartment. Guest with limited mobility must be accompanied at all times. Many churches have steps, so it is important to take these into account. Attire: Shorts, flip-flops and tank tops are not permitted on this tour. Mad Tours and Events LLC reserves the right to refuse guests who are not properly dressed. Tickets purchased will not be refunded.
Where is the church? We do our best to hold our church services in Harlem, however, we may have to go to a church in neighborhood nearby. Don’t worry, this does not change the itinerary of the Harlem tour.
Guide: Our licensed guides reserve the right to cancel the scheduled tour due to weather conditions (rain, storm, snow or other). In case of cancellation, we can offer you an alternative date or a total cancellation, in which case we will give you a full refund.
Cancellation Policy: All sales are final. No reimbursement, no exception if you cancel this tour.
Request to reschedule your tour: All requests to reschedule your tour must be made in writing and sent to us via email more than 7 days prior to your tour or activity. There are no exceptions. Without an email, we will not be able to reschedule your tour.
Videos and pictures: We reserve the right to record video footage and photographies in connection with future promotional and publicity for MAD Tours and Events on social media and website.
Belongings: Mad Tours and Events is not responsible for any personal items which are lost, stolen or left behind.
Passenger Voucher check-in Instructions: On the day of tour or activity, please arrive 15 minutes early to the tour departure point at the indicated address sent with your confirmation.
Pet: As much as we love them, they are not allowed.
Please note that if you do not show up on the day of your tour or activity, your tour is forfeited.
