The 18-block Miami Design District is a treasure trove of luxury fashion boutiques, trendy art galleries, attractive public art and trendy restaurants. Located just north of Wynwood, the district has gained popularity in recent years; locals and tourists alike flock there to enjoy a variety of stores and restaurants. Originally, the area was primarily intended for furniture and interior designers to showcase their work. It has since become a must-see destination, rich in art and culture.
You’ll discover how Miami is home to a fascinating neighborhood with an incredible history. Before it became a center of art, commerce and culture, this 18-block area was a squalid neighborhood with dilapidated warehouses. In 2009, Christian Louboutin was the first luxury designer to open a store there. This marked the beginning of a great transformation for this Miami neighborhood.The Miami Design District is now home to over 120 luxury flagship stores. Get ready for breathtaking color, originality and creativity!
What you’ll see:
- The Village of Buenavista—originally a pineapple plantation, the village was established in 1892, before the arrival of the Florida East Coast Railway
- The museum and collections district—featuring the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) and the Museum Garage, which is certainly one of the most photographed places today in Miami
- The Jungle Plaza—an event space for concerts, festivals and other large-scale shows.
- The boutiques—Hermès, Cartier, Fendi, OTL, Louboutin; these boutiques not only house prestigious names, but they’re also works in themselves, designed by famous architects

Guide: Our licensed guides reserve the right to cancel the scheduled tour due to weather conditions (rain, storm, snow or other). In case of cancellation, we can offer you an alternative date or a total cancellation, in which case we will give you a full refund.
Cancellation Policy for the private tour: If you send us a cancellation request more than 15 days before the day of your tour, a 50% refund will be given. If you send us a cancellation request less than 15 days before the day of your tour, no refund will be given.
Cancellation Policy for the public tour: If you send us a cancellation request more than 7 days before the day of your tour, a 50% refund will be given. If you send us a cancellation request less than 7 days before the day of your tour, no refund will be given.
Pet: As much as we love them, they are not allowed.
Request to reschedule your tour: All requests to reschedule your tour must be made in writing and sent to us via email more than 15 days prior to your tour or activity. There are no exceptions. Without an email, we will not be able to reschedule your tour.
Videos and pictures: We reserve the right to record video footage and photographies in connection with future promotional and publicity for MAD Tours and Events on social media and website.
Belongings: Mad Tours and Events is not responsible for any personal items which are lost, stolen or left behind.
Passenger Voucher check-in Instructions: On the day of tour or activity, please arrive 15 minutes early to the tour departure point at the indicated address sent with your confirmation.
Taxes & Booking fees: They are not included in the rate. Those fees will be indicated once you start the booking reservation process.
No show: Please note that if you do not show up on the day of your tour or activity, your tour is forfeited.
