Little Italy: New York's Italian neighborhood There was a time when Manhattan's Little Italy lived up to its name. Its noisy streets were filled with stores, restaurants and grocery stores that smelled of Italy. Little Italy today has shrunk a bit, but the neighborhood still retains its charm and good humor. Not to be missed: The Feast of San Gennaro, held in honor of San Gennaro, the patron saint of Naples. From a small one-day celebration in 1926, the event has grown into an 11-day festival, which takes place every year in September. Chinatown Walking into Chinatown, you'll have a bit of a feeling of crossing a border. It's an area of New York City that's bustling with activity and is constantly on the move. Between the signs written in Chinese and the fact of hearing the inhabitants speak Cantonese and Mandarin in the streets, the change of scenery is total! It is truly a neighborhood apart... Many of the residents do not speak English and rarely go beyond the "borders" of Manhattan's Chinatown. But Chinatown has a lot to offer to whoever ventures there: all its little streets, its little workshops, its little stores and food stands that follow one another... without forgetting a great park (Columbus Park) where the Chinese practice typical Chinese activities (tai-chi-chaun and xianqui).

Chinatown
Like most of NYC, Chinatown is bustling with activity and constantly on the move. Between seeing the signs in Chinese and hearing the inhabitants speak Cantonese and Mandarin on the streets, the change of scenery is total! Many residents don’t speak English and rarely venture beyond the “borders” of Manhattan’s Chinatown. This densely populated neighborhood attracts foodies and travelers to its loads of Chinese restaurants, souvenir shops, bubble tea cafes, and markets. You’ll catch a glimpse of locals in Columbus Park doing tai chi or playing chess and mahjong.

Guide: Our licensed guides reserve the right to cancel the scheduled tour due to weather conditions (rain, storm, snow or other). In case of cancellation, we can offer you an alternative date or a total cancellation, in which case we will give you a full refund.

Cancellation Policy for the private tour: If you send us a cancellation request more than 7 days before the day of your tour, a 50% refund will be given. If you send us a cancellation request less than 7 days before the day of your tour, no refund will be given.

Cancellation Policy for the public tour: If you send us a cancellation request more than 3 days before the day of your tour, a 50% refund will be given. If you send us a cancellation request less than 3 days before the day of your tour, no refund will be given.

Pet: As much as we love them, they are not allowed.

Request to reschedule your tour: All requests to reschedule your tour must be made in writing and sent to us via email more than 3 days prior to your tour or activity. There are no exceptions. Without an email, we will not be able to reschedule your tour.

Belongings: Mad Tours and Events is not responsible for any personal items which are lost, stolen or left behind.

Passenger Voucher check-in Instructions: On the day of tour or activity, please arrive 15 minutes early to the tour departure point at the indicated address sent with your confirmation.
